AI VISIBILITYREPORT GROUP

Fair question

“Can’t I just ask ChatGPT that myself?”

You can. And if you do, you will get an answer. Only you will then be measuring something other than what you want to know — and we measured that difference on ourselves.

If you ask “does ChatGPT know my business?”, you measure whether the system recognises you when you point at it. Your customer does not point: they ask for a solution and do not mention your name. On questions with our brand name we were in position 1. On questions without our name we did not appear at all in five of eight cases. Same company, same day, same platforms.

Do it yourself, and you measure 9 percent of the picture. Once. On one level. With your own name already filled in.

In short: if you ask it yourself, you measure only 9 percent of the picture.

91% of the picture you have not seen yet. For €29 you will.

Six platforms, 48 measurements, report within twenty minutes. One time, no subscription.

What you measure when you ask it yourself

Asking yourself

What you usually get

  • A question with your name in it — the system confirms what you already put forward
  • One platform, usually ChatGPT: 9% of the sources six platforms use between them
  • One moment, without repetition to separate noise from change
  • Only whether you are mentioned — not whether you were retrieved or cited
  • No view of who stood in your place and why

What we do

From €29, one time

  • Buying questions without your name and without your domain, the way your customer asks them
  • Six platforms: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok and Meta AI
  • 48 measurements per scan, repeatable with exactly the same questions
  • Four levels: retrieved, cited, mentioned, recommended — recorded separately
  • The competitors and sources that were cited in your place

One question gives you a hunch. 48 measurements give you an answer.

Start with the free check: it measures your technical AI readiness in about a minute, without an account. If you then want to know whether AI actually names you across six platforms, that costs €29, one time.

The difference, in our own figures

We ran this measurement on ourselves, on 29 August 2026. This is what came out.

9%of all cited sources is what ChatGPT shows. The other 91% surfaces on the five other platforms.
2 of 2questions with our brand name put us in position 1. Five of the eight questions without brand name did not mention us.
16 → 9%is how much ChatGPT’s share shifted between two measurements on the same day. One measurement is a snapshot.

Try it yourself: this is the question that counts

If you want to see the difference, ask these two questions one after the other to the same system. Replace the brackets with your own details.

Question 1 — what most people ask Do you know [your company name]? What do you think of [your website]?
→ You will almost always get a positive answer. The system confirms what you put forward.
Question 2 — what your customer asks Which provider would you recommend for [your service] in [your region]?
Name five, with the reason why.
→ If you are not on it, that is what your customer sees. This is the question we ask eight times, to six platforms, in two languages.

Does question 2 already give you enough to go on? Then that is fine — we do not sell you anything you do not need. What one such question does not give you: the picture across six platforms, the four measurement levels separately, the sources the AI relied on, and a measurement you can repeat identically in three months to see whether anything changed.

When one question is enough

If you want to know once, roughly, where you stand, ask question 2 above to ChatGPT and to Gemini. That takes you ten minutes and it is better than doing nothing. We do not sell a subscription and we do not call you afterwards.

If you want to know why you are not mentioned, who is, and what you can do about it, that is a measurement and not a question. That is what we are here for.

Frequently asked questions

Can’t I just ask ChatGPT whether my business is known?
You can, but then you measure something else. A question with your brand name in it measures whether the system knows you when you point at it. Your customer does not type your name; they ask for a solution. We saw that difference on our own site: on questions with the brand name we were in position 1, on questions without the brand name we did not appear at all in five of eight cases.
Why is querying one AI platform not enough?
Because platforms use different sources. In our measurement of 29 August 2026, ChatGPT showed 50 of the 551 cited sources: 9 percent. Anyone who scores well there and concludes all is fine has not seen 91 percent of the picture.
Why is asking once not enough?
Between two measurements on the same day, ChatGPT’s share shifted from 16 to 9 percent. One answer is a snapshot. Without repetition with identical questions you cannot tell change from chance.
What do I not see when I ask it myself?
Whether your page was retrieved, whether it was used as a source, which position you were in, which parties were named in your place and which sources that rested on. An answer shows only the outcome, not the road to it.
Can a business be cited without being named?
Yes. In our own measurement, Perplexity used our page as a source without putting our name in the answer. We supplied the knowledge, someone else got the mention. Nobody would have seen that by simply asking Perplexity.

The figures on this page come from two measurements on 29 August 2026, each with eight buying questions without brand name across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok and Meta AI. Read the full research →
